On the afternoon of October 18, SEU and America's FEI Company signed an agreement on the second phase collaboration of Nano-Pico Center at Sipailou Campus of our school. People who attended the signing ceremony included Mark Peters-Vice President of Division of Materials Research of FEI Company and his party, Mr. Ding Hui-member of the Party Standing Committee of our school and chief accountant of our school, Mr. Sun Yueming-director of the Equipment Department, Mr. Lu Weibing-deputy director of the Science and Technology Department, Mr. Shi Jianning-party secretary of the Institute of Electronics of our school and Mr. Tang Yongming-vice dean of the Institute of Electronics, Mr. Huang Qing'an-director of the MEMS Laboratory and Mr. Sun Litao-director of SEU-FEI Nano-Pico Center.
According to the signed agreement, FEI Company will offer our school about 5 million yuan worth of electron microscope hardware upgrading and technical maintenance services and moreover dispatch an application engineer to our school.
SEU-FEI Nano-Pico Center was established in 2010 and was the first Titan transmission electron microscope laboratory used for collaboration in the Asia-Pacific region. The Center is dedicated to the research on advanced materials and micro-nano-devices cross-scale integrated manufacturing. Within two years after its foundation, the Center published many research papers and articles in Physical Review Letters, Advanced Materials and other internationally authoritative publications. Simultaneously, SEU-FEI Nano-Pico Center as the display and demonstration center of FEI Company in the Asia-Pacific region, has established good cooperative relations with internationally renowned scientists and many famous laboratories.
